Dr. V. V. Sreenarayanan, Coordinator, MIIT

            Dr. Sreenarayanan is the Coordinator for the Dr.Mahalingam International Institute of Technology (MIIT). He has been working as Dean for the past seven years with Dr.Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (MCET) which is closely tied to MIIT.

            Dr. Sreenarayanan has been in the field of Engineering Education, Research, and Administration for the past 40 years. He worked with Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore, for a period of more than three decades in various capacities including as Dean for the college of Agricultural Engineering, prior to joining with MCET.       

Dr. Sreenarayanan has a doctorate degree from IIT, Kharagpur, India, in Food Process Engineering after his Masters and Bachelor degrees in Production Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, respectively.

            He underwent post-doctoral research at the University of Manitoba, Canada, on a NSERC funding. He  also took advanced training in Food Processing and Quality Control at McGill University, Canada, as well as in Design of Drying and Milling Equipment, at the University of Philippines, Philippines. He  also undergone Executive Development Programs on Educational Administration and Management at National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad, India.

            He has supervised ten Ph.D. and nineteen Masters theses in Engineering and Technology. Dr.Sreenarayanan has published/presented more than 200 research papers. He was a recipient of “Best Researcher Award” of TNAU.

            He was a Principal Investigator/Nodal Officer for various externally-funded projects which include World Bank, CIDA, and Department of Sciences & Technology, New Delhi
